Terms of Service

These terms govern use of jsontoimg.com, app.jsontoimg.com, and the render API operated by Skndan ("jsontoimg", "we", "us"). By creating an account or calling the API you agree to them. If you use jsontoimg for an organization, you confirm you can bind that organization.

The service

jsontoimg lets you design image templates and generate PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, or PDF files by sending JSON to the API. Editor previews may be watermarked. Each account includes a lifetime free API allowance; further renders require prepaid credits or an active subscription. We may change features, limits, and pricing; material changes to paid plans are announced in the app or by email.

Accounts

Sign-in is through Google OAuth. You are responsible for activity under your workspace, including API keys. Keep keys secret and revoke them if they leak. We may suspend an account that looks compromised or that violates these terms.

Acceptable use

You may not use jsontoimg to:

  • Violate law, including copyright, trademark, or privacy law.
  • Generate illegal content, child sexual abuse material, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
  • Attack, scan, or overload our systems or other people's.
  • Resell raw API access in a way that disguises you as jsontoimg.
  • Bypass plan limits, share a single seat as a public proxy, or scrape the service beyond the documented API.

You must have rights to the templates, fonts, photos, and JSON you send. Output is yours to use, subject to those third-party rights and to our remaining ownership of the jsontoimg software itself.

Plans and billing

Paid usage is billed through Dodo Payments as monthly subscriptions or one-time prepaid packs. Every account gets 25 API images free, with no card. Renders use leftover free images first, then monthly included images, then prepaid credits. Monthly included images reset each period and do not roll over. Prepaid credits never expire and are not forfeited if you cancel a subscription. Taxes may apply. Chargebacks without first contacting support are grounds for suspension.

You can cancel in the billing settings. Access continues through the paid period. We do not prorate cancellations except where required by law.

Uptime and renders

We aim for reliable renders but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Jobs can fail because of invalid JSON, missing assets, or upstream storage. Failed renders that are our fault do not count against your quota; invalid requests may still count. Render files are kept 3 days on the free plan, 7 days for prepaid, 14 / 30 / 90 days on Starter / Pro / Scale, then archived for 14 days before deletion. Uploaded assets stay until you delete them, within your workspace storage cap. Do not treat us as the only backup.

Intellectual property

jsontoimg, the editor, and the API are owned by Skndan. You keep ownership of your templates and of images generated from your templates. You grant us a license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness, and non-infringement. Our total liability for a claim relating to jsontoimg is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete the workspace at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for violation of these terms, for non-payment, or if we shut the product down. After termination we may delete stored templates and renders on the schedule in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. Continued use after the update is acceptance of the new terms.
